John Magnus- Report for the Council of World Leaders

John Magnus
Name: John Magnus
Affiliation: The Cavalry
Alias: None
Date of Birth: Unknown
Sex: Male
Race: Human
Hair: Grey
Eyes: Blue
Distinguishing marks: Left eye scarred
Weapon of choice: Custom 6 shooters
Aptitudes: Tracking, investigation, sharp shooting, hand to hand combat

History:
Not much is known about John Magnus prior to the Civil War. Magnus served the Union as a legendary soldier. His skill and bravery was well known, yet he refused every promotion offered to him, claiming to be a soldier, not a leader.

Magnus' career as a soldier came to an end when he came within a few feet of a plasma blast. After months of recovery, the only sign of Magnus' injuries was the loss of his left eye. Magnus was back stronger and with more gusto than he had previously shown in any  battle, which was a lot. After the war, he became a bounty hunter and was feared by every scofflaw he hunted.

When the Council of World Leaders formed The Cavalry, they approached Magnus to take command of the task force. Magnus declined, once again claiming he was a soldier and not a leader. Even Nik's pleas fell on deaf ears, until Magnus heard General Groule's name. No one knows why Magnus immediately changed his mind and agreed to lead the Cavalry, everyone is just glad he did.

Magnus refuses to use any Tempas/Grax relics found, or any technology or mystic ways developed because of them. No one is quite sure why, but the main theory is a fear developed from the plasma blast that took his eye.

The Great Ruin - Report for the Council of World Leaders

Mock up of The Great Ruin as described by Kiva
Weapon: The Great Ruin
Owner: None
Power Source: Edenshia Moon Crystals
Range: Unknown
Accuracy: Unknown
Blast Radius: Unknown
Mobility: Unknown
Rate of Fire: Unknown
Max Ammo: Unknown
Other Attributes: Unknown

History:
As long as the universe has existed there has been technology and mysticism. The two have always remained separate, and every attempt at combining them has been unstable and ended with disastrous consequences. That is, until one day many lifetimes ago, a hermit named Pao living alone on the third moon of the planet Edenshia did the impossible. Pao was an excellent inventor. Living free from distractions, Pao managed to successfully combine the mystical powers of the crystals of his moon with the technological marvels of Edenshia. The machine he created had great power; so much so Pao was to afraid to discover its full potential. He dubbed the machine "The Great Ruin". Fearful it would fall into the wrong hands, Pao launched The Great Ruin randomly into space so that even he would not know its location.

Unfortunately the Grax, led by the nefarious General Groule, observed the launch. The Grax were know for razing their native planet of all its natural resources in order to take their technology to its highest peak. After their own world was barren, the Grax set out into space in a massive space station, robbing other planets of their natural resources and enslaving their native populations. Curious, General Groule captured Pao and forced him to explain what he launched into the vast depths of space. Groule knew that The Great Ruin would make him unstoppable, so he had to have it. His best minds determined that the trajectory of The Great Ruin sent it straight to a small planet named Earth, which was populated with species that would later be known as dinosaurs.

Groules obsession with The Great Ruin gave Pao a chance to escape to the nearby planet of Tempa. The Tempas race were masters of the mystic ways of the universe, making them very powerful warriors. Pao explained Groules plan to the Tempas, and they swiftly set out to stop him and his army in order to save the universe. Arriving on Earth nearly simultaneously the Grax and the Tempas waged in a hundred year war. During this time Groule used all of his resources to search for The Great Ruin while the Tempas did everything in their power to stop him. The war was finally ended when the Tempas sabotaged the Grax space station crashing it into Earth; wiping out the Grax and most other life on the planet, including the dinosaurs.

In the year 1802 the first relic of the war between the Grax and the Tempas was found. By 1864, thousands of relics had been found and Earth's greatest minds set out to discover their secrets. By 1890 the human race had a far greater understanding of technology and the mystic ways of the universe than natural evolution would have allowed.

The Great Ruin still remains unfound.

The Great Ruin: First Video

All right folks- I know it's been pretty much forever since I updated the blog. I apologize for that. We started experiencing technical difficulties (blogger wouldn't let me upload pics), and so it just sort of fell off my radar. After all, stuff was going up on our facebook page, right?

Well- in the past year, we've done a lot. Too much for me to update in one post. So instead, I'll keep this one about our exciting new project. We're creating our own story line, with our very own characters! These guys will be released at Victoria's Ultimate Hobby and Toy Fair on October 6th in Victoria, BC. To help us tell their story, we're creating secret government files for each character and their weapon, plus short news clips.

So here it is. The first ever Cube Dudes movie!

A-Team!!!!

We've been hard at work building up a full set of the A-Team to donate to a charity silent auction to benefit the MS Society.

My personal favourite is HM Murdock by far, but maybe that's just because I'm a little crazy, just like him!

Captain HM Murdock

The best part of Murdock is his jacket!!!
Of course, BA Baracus turned out pretty great as well. I mean come on- that much glitter paper on a Cube Dude that ISN'T a Vegas Version??? He even has grey wool socks and bright red Chucks.
Sgt B.A. Baracus

Check out them feather earrings!
And who doesn't love the smirk of the world's greatest con man- Faceman! I'll admit, out of context this Cube Dude looks pretty.... generic white guy-ish. But put him beside the other three and that devilish charm starts to shine!
Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck
And of course, the leader of the pack with the ever present Cigar... Hanibal Smith! It was a little nerve wracking to light a Cube Dude on fire, but the effect of a burnt cigar is so much better than just a brown curl of paper in his mouth. Plus, the photos turned out great!

Col. John Hanibal Smith. That is authentic singe on his cigar!

The Team
Did you know that in the original TV series, the van was actually gun metal grey above the stripe, and black below? With the satin finish of the paint job, we were 4 seasons in and hadn't noticed!!! In doing the research to build this beast it was pointed out to us... and necessitated some re-designing.

If you look closely, the license plate number is also one of the plates used in the TV show. We're that kind of nerdy.
The team isn't complete without their Van. Yes, they all fit inside.

The van wouldn't be complete without a box full of guns!

Want to know how you can become the proud owner of this 1 of a kind set? Check out Victoria's Ultimate Hobby and Toy Fair, and go bid on it! This entire set has been donated- and remember, it's the ONLY ONE LIKE IT!

And don't forget to follow us on Facebook: Cube Dudes Facebook.
